Zappi is made by myenergi, a UK company, and it's built specifically around one job: charging your car from your own solar or wind generation rather than the grid. Its eco mode continuously tracks your home's surplus generation and automatically directs it to your car, topping up with grid power only when needed, or not at all if your solar is generating enough on its own. That's genuinely useful for Cornwall homes trying to get the most out of a solar or battery system rather than exporting surplus back to the grid for a fraction of its value.
No Solar Needed Yet
It works just as well as a standard charger if you don't have solar yet, charging fully from the grid on a schedule or tariff of your choosing, so it's not a compromise either way. Many of our customers fit Zappi ahead of adding solar, knowing it's ready for it when they do.
